Saturday the 16th March Young Boys Academy participated in our first small tournament – the ‘Champions League Tournament’ at Aga Khan University.
33 teams were participating mainly from Arusha and Moshi.
YBA came with two teams – one U11 and U13 – and both reached the final.
U11 (Mansour, Iqram, Ramson, Muhsin, Sean, Mussa, Hafidh, David and Praygod)
In the group stage we played three matches:
YBA – Future Stars Academy 3-0
YBA – UWC FSA Blue 6-3
YBA – New Vision 7-1
And in the final we met Jeffery Academy – and won 7-3. Our MVP’s were Mansour and Hafidh.
U13 (Zulklfli, Mansour, Hubert, Jensen, Hafidh, Mussa, Sean, Aboubakari, David and Benson)
In the group stage we played two matches:
YBA – CCIS 11-1
YBA – Jeffery Academy 4-0
In the final we met Future Stars Academy. We lost narrowly 1-2 – but played well. Its also worth mentioning that 4 of our boys played 7 matches (of 20 minutes) – so we were a bit tired. Our MVP’s were Jensen and Hafidh.
